Morning Dew

My heart breathes deep
She is in repose
Folded in upon herself like tender bud of rose
Each petal a defender to the lesser one below
All gentle protectors to the
Nectar at her core
She waits
She waits
She waits
And then
Day –
The day – is dawned, and one
Frayed-edged outer petal,
Faking bravery,
Unfurls
Shy, and hesitant
Performs reconnaissance
Is this...
Could this be
Her drop of morning dew?

Blissful Waters

So in honor of the new quarter and just because I feel like, I decided that it's time to launch my new blog. New beginnings and all that. So thanks to all of you that visited my old one, and hope you enjoy this one just as much.

So, with a view to starting how I would like to continue, here's the first post, a poem about the bliss one can feel when closely connected to Spirit. Enjoy.

Blissful Waters

The River Bliss has overflowed her banks
Give thanks; with joyful heart, I say give thanks
Her nectared waters Disneyfy the land:
A million blossoms instantly bloom
A million babies instantly coo
A million lovers all say "I do!"
With Divine simultaneity

Passing through the Valley of Peace
She slows
Letting every thirst-emboldened soul sip
A million sips
A million sips
A million million sips
And intoxicate
Intoxicate on liquid happiness
For they cannot exhaust her--No!
Infinite is her waters' flow
Infinite is her waters' flow
Infinite is her waters' flow
So gather, souls, and be ye quenched
In joy and revelry be drenched
So gather, souls, and be ye sure
This river gives you pleasure pure
So gather, souls, and drink your fill
Of God's divinest heart, distilled
Of God's divinest heart, distilled
Of God's divinest heart, distilled
For River Bliss has overflowed her banks
Give thanks; with joyful heart, I say give thanks
